Episode 2 - Funding Stage

Thailand hosts many Westerners seeking extra income as extras or actors in international movies and TV commercials. Some have dubious backgrounds, with mysterious, unspoken reasons for moving to Thailand, making the pool of actors and extras uniquely fascinating as they compete for limited roles.

Huge egos emerge, and rumors and scandals flare when actors miss out on roles they feel entitled to. Self-blame is never an option.

Western agents, taking 35–50% commissions, lie, cheat, and steal while claiming to help. Acting coaches, sharp-talking and ego-boosting, focus more on self-promotion than teaching their limited knowledge.

At castings, these characters cross paths, sharing stories of corruption, exploitation, and their own greatness, creating a compelling, chaotic scene.

Romanus Eunt Domus

Seeking funding

In a chaotic ancient Rome, Romanus Eunt Domus follows Rickus, a vain failed actor turned reluctant gladiator, thrust into a ludicrous arena where he faces a ferocious chicken instead of mighty beasts. Under the decadent rule of Caesar, obsessed with perfect 37-degree eggs, the city teeters between absurdity and ambition.

Maurizius, a sleazy schemer, and his associates Don Marillius and Jabbus plot a grand gladiator spectacle—100 men versus 100 beasts—to swindle Rome, only to face Caesar’s cunning wrath.

Meanwhile, Rickus, alongside fellow prisoners Willy, Byronius, and the manic Julius, chained until the final battle, hatch a feather-brained escape plan involving honey and chicken feathers, aided by the hulking, hug-happy Bobo. As Soji, a wine-spilling palace servant, stumbles through Caesar’s opulent court, and Aelonius, a frenzied visionary, pitches a star chariot to reach Mars, the stage is set for a bloody, hilarious clash. In this gritty satire, courage, scams, and poultry collide, proving Rome’s glory is as fragile as an egg.
